Our History

Full Throttle Aerial, a subsidiary of Full Throttle Innovations, was founded in March 2016 to capitalize on the rapidly expanding commercial drone market. With our humble beginnings in aerial services and sUAS manufacturing, Full Throttle Aerial LLC has now set our sights on quickly growing into one of the largest commercial UAS firms in the United States, bringing the benefits of drone technology to sectors such as oil and gas, power, utilities, wind, infrastructure, construction, and engineering; along with aircraft manufacturing for the Government and public sectors.

In our journey providing business insight into the UAS technology, we identified several voids in the market and founded our advanced R&D system that focuses on developing leading-edge UAS systems and AI data analytics for the UAS industry. This enables us to add value to our clients with technological solutions and a seamless data management infrastructure.

While providing our customers with unmanned aerial systems and sevices, FTA has now sets its sights on the national and global commercial UAS markets. With eyes to the future and a strong team of engineers and partners, FTA looks forward to continuing to create long term value for its clients around the world.

The CEO of Full Throttle Aerial

Steve Dixon, a native Texan and a US Navy veteran; has a long history in the technological field.

 After leaving the Navy in 1990, Steve pursued his career in designing computer systems and technological innovations with Quorum International. In 1993, he left Quorum International and teamed up with Star Tronix International out of Irvine, CA; where he designed and developed the Star Screen computer system. Steve remained on the Board of Directors with Star Tronix until 1997; at which time he left Star Tronix and teamed up Advanced Micro Devices in Austin, TX. While at AMD, Steve aided in the development of the Thunderbird and Athlon CPUs. In 2002, Steve started his own computer company, XXtreme Computers LLC; and a high speed wireless broadband company, X-Net Wireless corporation. From 2002-2010, Steve also aided with hardware development for AMD, Nvidia, and Gigabyte corporations; as well as software development for Microsoft.

 In 2013, Steve opened Full Throttle Innovations, where he pursued the design and development of various unmanned aerial systems for commercial and military use. Steve took the company public in 2016 under the name of Full Throttle Aerial LLC. His continued developments into unmanned aerial systems is what has made Full Throttle Aerial, the “second to none” UAS company that it is today.
